Patricia has worn a necklace with the image of Kokopelli for more years than she cares to remember. Coincidentally, she also purchased a luxurious rug whilst in Las Vegas in 2006 with Kokopelli’s image embedded into it. This inspired the name for her yoga & massage practice.
Kokopelli is a Native American fertility deity, usually depicted as a humpbacked flute player often with feathers on his head. Like most fertility deities, Kokopelli presides over both childbirth and agriculture. He is also a trickster god and represents the spirit of music. Kokopelli’s flute-playing chases away the winter and brings about spring.
